Yuri Alexandrovich Mezhirov ((ロシア語:Юрий Александрович Межиров); February 7, 1933, Leningrad, USSR - June 13, 2012, Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation) was a Soviet Russian painter, graphic artist and art teacher, People artist of Russian Federation, a member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists (before 1992 — the Leningrad Union of Artists),〔''Справочник членов Ленинградской организации Союза художников РСФСР.'' == Biography ==
In 1965 Yuri Mezhirov graduated from the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in the Victor Oreshnikov workshop with the rank of artist of painting. His degree work was a painting titled ''"At the Front"''.〔''Anniversary Directory graduates of Saint Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture named after Ilya Repin, Russian Academy of Arts. 1915 - 2005''. Saint Petersburg, Pervotsvet Publishing House, 2007. P.95.〕
In 1967 Yuri Mezhirov was adopted in the Leningrad Union of Soviet Artists. Since 1965 he had participated in Art Exhibitions, painted genre and historical painting, landscapes, cityscapes, still life.
Yuri Alexandrovich Mezhirov died in Saint Petersburg on June 13, 2012. His paintings reside in State Russian Museum, in Art museums and private collections in the Russia, France, in the U.S., Ukraine, Germane, England, and throughout the world.
